ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT baseball team is set to host the four-team double-elimination 2026 Liberty League Championship tournament Thursday through Saturday, May 7-9, at the RIT Baseball Complex.
The winner of the tournament will earn the Liberty League's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Division III National Championship.

RIT TIGERS (21-12, 15-4 LL)
The Tigers are making their first Liberty League Tournament appearance since the 2023 season, when RIT fell to Ithaca in the championship game. RIT's lone tournament title came in 2017 when the Tigers hosted and won three straight games to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
This season, the RIT pitching staff finished the regular season with a 5.22 ERA, which is the third lowest in the Liberty League behind RPI (4.66) and Hobart (4.53). Individually, graduate student Dylan Joseph leads the conference with a 1.54 ERA through 41.0 innings while maintaining a 6-0 record.
Trent Rapp leads the Tigers with 44 runs this season, which is third highest in the conference while batting .368 through 33 games.
RPI ENGINEERS (23-14, 12-5 LL)
The Engineers finished 2026 atop the Liberty League East Division standings after making a run to the program's 11th NCAA regional championship game appearance last season.
In last year's Liberty League Tournament, RPI lost to Ithaca in the opening game before reeling off four wins, including two against Ithaca in a two-game championship round.
Walker Abdallah leads the Engineers with 46 runs off 49 hits, as Michael Lebenson has totaled 40 RBIs to go along with 39 runs. Lebenson also leaded the Liberty League with nine home runs.
On the mound, the RPI pitching staff finished the regular season with a 4.66 ERA and a conference-best 277 strikeouts.
HOBART STATESMEN (27-11, 11-5 LL)
Hobart is making their first trip to the Liberty League Tournament since the program was reinstated in 2023.
This season, the Statesmen racked up a conference-high 27 wins, including conference series sweeps against St. Lawrence and Rochester.
As a team, Hobart is batting .309 and have scored a Liberty League-best 321 runs.
Sean Garvin leads the Statesmen with 42 runs and 34 RBIs and is second on the team with a .494 on-base percentage.
Starting pitcher Teck Nash enters the postseason with a 6-1 record and a 3.22 ERA through 67.0 innings of work.
ST. LAWRENCE SAINTS (20-14, 11-8 LL)
The Saints are in search of their first postseason title since 2006 after having won 20 games for the first time since the 2013 season.
Of the four teams in the tournament, St. Lawrence has the highest batting average (.311) and the second most hits (379) behind Hobart's 392 hits.
Joe LaPrade has logged a team-high 50.0 innings with a 3-3 record and a 4.14 ERA this season for the Saints.
