Four Liberty League women’s golfers were recognized by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign with All-America honors.
A pair of Wellesley College golfers and a pair of New York University (NYU) golfers, who all competed at the 2025 NCAA Championship in May, were recognized. Wellesley’s Audrey Wang and Sarah Yeh were both selected to the second team and NYU’s Tiya Chowdary and Naomi Tan earned a spot on the Honorable Mention list.
Wang led the Blue to its first-ever Liberty League Championship and was the medalist at the event with back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish with a two-round score of 146. Wang also posted individual victories at the Jekyll Island Invitational (216—75-71-70) and tied for first at the Hamilton Invitational (151—76-75) . At NCAAs, she was a team-best 23rd with a four-round score of 300. She finished the year averaging 73.0 strokes per round and ranked 14th in Division III in the final 2024-25 Scoreboard/Clippd rankings.
Yeh recorded a 73.5 scoring average and competed in nine events for Wellesley this season. She was the runner-up at the 2025 Liberty League Championship with a two-round score of 152 (73-79). Other season highlights included a second-place showing at the Williams Invitational (143—72-71) as well as three fourth-place finishes at Middlebury’s George Phinney Classic (151—76-75), Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational (218—76-70-72), and Williams Spring Invite (153—72-81).
Chowdary averaged 74.6 strokes per round during the season and won the Max and Susan Stith Invitational (March 31-April 1. She earned a spot on the All-Liberty League Second Team with a sixth-place finish at the 2025 conference championship with a two-round score of 155 (74-81).
Tan paced the Violets with a 73.6 scoring average and posted third-place finishes at the Max and Susan Stith Invitational and the Williams Invitational (September 28-29). At the Liberty League Championship, she tied for seventh by carding a 157 (77-80) and was named to the All-Liberty League Second Team.
The WGCA also announced its 2024-25 All-Region honorees. Five from the Liberty League were named to the Region 1/East Region Team, three from Wellesley (Wang, Yeh, and Aileen Du) and two from NYU (Chowdary, Tan).
Wellesley head coach Jackie Beck was named the East Region Coach of the Year. This season, the Blue totaled five tournament victories, including the program’s first Liberty League Championship title, and a pair of runner-up finishes. At the Liberty League Championship, Wellesley recorded a team score of 612, finishing six strokes ahead of the runner-up. All five golfers earned All-Liberty League honors and finished among the top 11. The Blue also won the George Phinney Classic, Williams Invitational, Hamilton Invitational, and Williams Spring Invitational this season. In the team’s first NCAA Championship, the Blue finished 11th with a four-round team score of 1,212 (311-289-303-309).
