The Liberty League announced that 26 student-athletes in seven different sports have been recognized for outstanding play during the opening week of September 1-7. Ithaca College senior goalkeeper Maeve Clark, the Defensive Performer of the Week in field hockey, did not allow a goal in 150 minutes of action and made 22 saves to help lead the Bombers to a 3-0 week to begin the season. Clark began the season with one save in a 6-1 win at Houghton and then posted nine saves - eight in the fourth quarter - in a 1-0 victory over Misericordia. She finished off the week with another shutout in a 2-0 win over No. 21 Haverford in which she stopped 12 shots.
