Vassar’s Haley Schoenegge claims third straight 1,500 meters national title; 16 from Liberty League earn All-America honors at 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships

2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships Results
 
LA CROSSE, Wis. – 16 Liberty League Track & Field athletes garnered All-America honors at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 21-23) at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Six male athletes and 10 female athletes finished among the top 16 in their respective events from five member institutions (5 from RPI, 5 from Rochester, 2 from Ithaca, 2 from Vassar, 1 from RIT, 1 from St. Lawrence).
 
Athletes who finished in the top eight of their respective individual events and relays at NCAAs took home First-Team All-America honors, while those who placed ninth through 16th individually and ninth and tenth as part of a relay earned Second-Team All-America. Seven earned First Team All-America recognition (1 male, 7 female) and 10 earned Second Team All-America honors.
 
The 2026 outdoor championships were headlined by Vassar junior Haley Schoenegge, who claimed her third consecutive national title in the 1,500 meters. She pulled away from the pack in the final lap and clocked a 1:05.16 across the final 400 meters to post a time of 4:16.73. Schoenegge also finished eighth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:42.43 for her second All-America first-team honors of the championship. She is now an 11-time All-America honoree and has earned five national titles in her three years at Vassar.
