ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT junior Jack DeFeo has earned a bid to the upcoming NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
DeFeo will compete in the 400-meter dash at the national meet, which will be held May 21-23 at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on the campus of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
The junior posted the 14th fastest time in Division III in the 400 meters with a time of 47.14 secnds at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships, which was a meet and program record.
The 400 meter prelims are scheduled to take place on Friday, May 22 at 5:05 p.m. (EDT) with the finals scheduled for Saturday, May 23 at 2:20 p.m (EDT).
DeFeo is the first men's athlete to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships since the 2023 season when thrower Matthew Funicelli competed in shot put and hammer throw.
