14 from Liberty League Baseball tabbed with All-Region accolades; RPI's Oehlschlaeger named Region 3 Rookie of the Year

The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3Baseball.com have announced their All-Region teams following the 2025 season. 14 Liberty League baseball players earned a spot on one of the six teams between the two organizations.
 
11 were named to the ABCA Region 3 teams with four garnering first-team accolades, four selected to the second team and three recognized with third-team honors. On the D3Baseball.com Region 3 teams, 12 were tabbed All-Region honorees (three on the first team, five on the second team, four on the third team). In total, nine earned the All-Region nod from both ABCA and D3Baseball.
 
Six league schools were represented with Ithaca College leading the way with four honorees. Skidmore College and University of Rochester both had three selected while Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), 2025 Liberty League Champions, had a pair of athletes honored.  Clarkson University, and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) each had one representative.

D3Baseball.com Region 3 Rookie of the Year: Ian Oehlschlaeger, Outfielder, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

Oehlschlaeger had a breakout rookie campaign with the Engineers playing in 44 of 45 games this season. He topped the team and league in batting average (.438) and slugging percentage (.734) while also ranking first in on-base percentage at .546. Oehlschlaeger produced 74 hits in 169 at-bats, including 11 doubles, three triples and 11 home runs. He scored 58 runs and drove in 58. He recorded two or more hits in 23 games and had 11 with three hits. He was the league leader in hits and runs batted in while ranking second in runs. He was also among the conference’s top 10 in home runs (2nd), triples (T-4th), at-bats (2nd), walks (T-7th, 28), stolen bases (7th, 20), and doubles (T-7th). Oehlschlaeger was nearly perfect in stolen bases, stealing 20 in 21 attempts and he registered a .986 fielding percentage.
