RPI’s Oehlschlaeger garners ABCA and D3Baseball.com All-America accolades

Ian Oehlschlaeger of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball team has been recognized by both the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and D3baseball.com with All-America honors following a standout 2025 campaign.

Oehlschlaeger earned an All-America Second Team selection by ABCA/Rawlings and a Third Team nod from D3baseball.com. He becomes RPI's first national All-American since 2009.

Oehlschlaeger, who was also named the Liberty League Rookie of the Year and an All-Liberty League first-team outfielder, had a breakout season with the Engineers, playing in 44 of 45 games this season. He topped the team and league in batting average (.438) and slugging percentage (.734) while also ranking first in on-base percentage at .546. Oehlschlaeger produced 74 hits in 169 at-bats, including 11 doubles, three triples, and 11 home runs. He scored 58 runs and drove in 58. He recorded two or more hits in 23 games and had 11 with three hits. He was the league leader in hits and runs batted in while ranking second in runs. He was also among the conference's top 10 in home runs (2nd), triples (T-4th), at-bats (2nd), walks (T-7th, 28), stolen bases (7th, 20), and doubles (T-7th). Oehlschlaeger was nearly perfect in stolen bases, stealing 20 in 21 attempts, and he registered a .986 fielding percentage.

He helped lead the Engineers to a 30-win campaign (31-16 overall), the team's first Liberty League title since 2015 and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
