University of Rochester Head Men's Golf Coach Dan Wesley was named the 2026 NCAA Division III Golf Pride Grips Region II Coach of the Year for the third time in as many years, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday.
Under Wesley, the Yellowjackets won the Liberty League title and made the NCAA Championship for the third-straight season, reaching as high as 12th in the GCAA Top 25 Coaches Poll, and finishing 18th in the final Scoreboard/Clippd rankings.
Rochester competed in nine events this season and claimed a top-three finish in five, including first-place finishes at the Northeast Elite Invitational in September, as well as the Fred Karvetz Invitational and Liberty League Championship in April.
On the season, the Yellowjackets combined to shoot 293.86, the second-best four-player, single-season team scoring average in program history, only behind last year's 292.94 mark.
Rochester also set a new, single-round record this season when they made up an 11-stroke deficit on the final day of the Liberty League Championship in April. The Yellowjackets shot 273, 15-under-par, during the third and final round of the tournament, to make up the deficit and win their third-straight title, led by sophomore Galen Fowles' 65, seven-under-par performance, also a school record.
Wesley also earned Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year this season and the Yellowjackets earned six All-Liberty League and All-UAA honors, including the Liberty League Player of the Year in sophomore Alvin Su, and five All-Region honors, with All-America honors to be announced later this month.
This is Wesley's fifth Region Coach of the Year honor, and the eighth Region/District Coach of the Year honor in program history.
