ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT junior and men's lacrosse defenseman Joe Holenstein was named to this week's United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week announced on Tuesday, March 17.
Holenstein scooped up 13 ground balls, caused two turnovers and scored a goal to lead RIT to a pair of wins last week. He scooped up seven ground balls and caused two turnovers in the Tigers' 10-7 win over No. 9 Gettysburg on Friday and scored a goal and had six ground balls in the Tigers 22-13 win over No. 15 Washington & Lee on Sunday.
RIT, ranked No. 10 in this week's USILA Division III poll, returns to action on Wednesday (March 18) at No. 12 St. John Fisher at 7:00 p.m.
