Vassar's Panarelli earns Third Team All-America honors

Junior earns program’s first United Soccer Coaches All-American honor

Vassar College junior Gianna Panarelli added another honor to her 2025 resume on Thursday with a Third Team All-American citation from the United Soccer Coaches. Thursday's honor marks the program's first ever All-America award from the organization.

Panarelli All-America accolades to a 2025 list that includes All-Liberty League First Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Region First Team for Region III honors. Although it's Vasar's first All-America nod from the United Soccer Coaches, it marks the First All-American honor since Jessica Young was named a D3Soccer.com Second Team All-American in 2022.

Panarelli had a standout year for the Brewers who won their first Liberty League title in program history this fall. Panarelli was the only Brewer to start all 20 games for the squad this season. She was second on the team in scoring with 21 points, thanks to nine goals and three assists. She also notched four game-winning goals, good for second on the team.

Panarelli scored multiple goals in a game twice in 2025 and tallied in five of the Brewers' final eight games of the season. Panarelli's ninth goal of the campaign came just 20 seconds into overtime in a 1-0 Liberty League Championship Semifinal victory over Ithaca.

Among conference leaders, Panarelli finished the year third in the Liberty League in total points and tied for third in both total goals and game-winning goals.

Vassar finished the 2025 season with a program record 16 victories, its first-ever Liberty League title and the program's second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
