Vassar Women's Cross Country races to first-ever Top 10 finish at NCAA Division III Championship

Brewers finish 10th overall for the highest ever finish at the National Meet

Spartanburg, S.C. - The Vassar College Women's Cross Country team posted its best-ever finish at the NCAA Division III Championships as the Brewers finished 10th overall out of 32 scoring teams at the National Meet. Junior Haley Schoenegge earned All-America honors for the second straight season, crossing the finish line in 15th place out of 290 finishers.

Vassar's Finishers
  • Schoenegge led the way for the Brewers with a 15th-place finish in 21:27.6 followed by senior Anika Mueller-Hickler was 95th with a time of 22:46.0.
  • Sophomore Chloe Bibula was 97th in her first NCAA Championship race with a time of 22:47.4 along with junior Cayley Swaim placing 117th in 22:54.5.
  • Junior Acadia Helfand crossed the finish line with a NCAA career-best finish in 177th in 23:20.4 followed by junior Adelaide Nyhan in the top-215 with a time of 23:36.8.
  • Sophomore Elizabeth Lowe closed out the Vassar finishers with a time of 25:33.6.
