Ithaca's Couser earns second straight D3football.com Team of the Week honor

ITHACA, N.Y. – D3football.com released its Team of the Week after Week Two of the 2024 Division III football season on September 17, and for the second straight time, Ithaca College was represented as Isaiah Couser was selected as a Special Teams honoree.

Couser's major impact was felt on special teams, as he blocked a first quarter field goal to set up Ithaca's only touchdown of the game and later blocked a point after try to keep the Bombers to within six points in the third quarter of a game that Ithaca lost to Endicott 13-7. He also made three tackles on defense with a quarterback hit.

Through two games, Couser leads the country in blocked kicks with six other players. Ithaca is just one of five schools to notch three blocked kicks thus far in 2024.

Couser becomes the 62nd player in school history to be named to the D3football.com Team of the Week dating back to 1999. The Bombers are off this week and will travel to Curry College on September 28 for a 12 p.m. kickoff.
