Two Liberty League baseball players representing a pair of conference schools have been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division III Region 3 All-Defensive Team.

For Region 3, Skidmore College junior Trey Bourque was selected as the best defensive catcher and Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) sophomore Jarin Moses was tabbed the top defensive second baseman. Moses (first team) and Bourque (honorable mention) earned All-Liberty League honors in May.

Players selected to the ABCA NCAA Division III Region All-Defensive teams were eligible for the ABCA/Rawlings Golf Glove honors. The 2024 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Award winners in all divisions were announced on Wednesday, June 19.

As Skidmore's primary catcher, Bourque had just three passed balls all season. He tossed out nine base stealers for a 28.1 caught-stealing percentage. Overall, he had a .987 fielding percentage with 198 putouts and 38 assists against just three errors. Only one out of his three errors were when he was behind the dish. A starter in all 36 games for the Thoroughbreds, they finished the season with an 19-17 overall record. He also boasted a batting average of .310 to go along with an OPS of .902.
