A day after being named Liberty League Football Offensive Performer of the Week, Bufffalo State senior running back Ale Wilson earned a spot on d3Football.com's National Team of the Week.
The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll. It is the 25th season of d3Football.com recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by the school's athletic communications staff.
Wilson accounted for more than 200 yards on offense and three touchdowns for the Bengals in a 41-7 victory over Dean. He rushed for 199 yards on 22 carries (9.0 yards per attempt) and three rushing scores, and also added a reception for 4 yards.
In the first quarter, Wilson scampered for 45 yards, setting up the first Bengals' touchdown. He followed it up with touchdown runs of 36 yards and four yards in the second quarter, then highlighted his incredible performance with a career-long 55-yard touchdown run less than one minute into the third quarter.
