The Liberty League announced that 30 student-athletes in 11 different sports have been recognized for outstanding play during the opening week of September 7-13. Hobart College senior defensive back Zeshan Dixon, the Defensive Performer of the Week in football, made a team- and career-high 13 tackles, intercepted a career-high three passes and broke up a fourth as the Statesmen handed Brockport a 27-14 loss. Dixon's first interception of the game, a leaping, one-handed snag, landed at No. 10 on SportsCenter's Top Plays. Dixon returned his third interception 72 yards for a game-clinching touchdown with 1:45 remaining. It was the first time a Statesman had three interceptions in a game since Nov. 22, 2008.
