Katie Meline joined the Liberty League staff as assistant commissioner in August 2014 after serving as Asa S. Bushnell communications assistant at the Eastern College Athletic Conference for the previous two years.

"I am excited to have Katie Meline join our Liberty League staff," said commissioner Tracy King. "Having spent the last two years with the ECAC, Katie has a great understanding of the role of a conference office and will be a tremendous asset to the Liberty League as we continue to grow and evolve as an organization. She brings great passion and skill in the areas of digital and print communication that will enable us to enhance our services to our members and student-athletes."

As a member of the ECAC communications staff, Meline assisted in the media and communication efforts of an organization consisting of more than 300 members and 100 championships across Divisions I, II and III. The primary media contact for the organization's Division II men's lacrosse league, Meline coordinated and publicized the selection of more than 3,800 players of the week and 1,800 all-star selections in numerous sports.

Familiar with championship events and operations, Meline served as a championships liaison for numerous ECAC championships and events. She was part of the event staff for the Division I Men's Ice Hockey Frozen Four and Division III Baseball New England Regional, both events hosted by the ECAC. Meline was also responsible for designing and producing 17 publications and programs for the ECAC's various events.

Prior to the ECAC, Meline, a New Hampshire native, served as a media relations intern for Division I University of New Hampshire, assisting with game-day operations for home athletic events. She was also part of the media relations staff that hosted the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Northeast Regional in 2011 and 2013.

A 2010 graduate of Quinnipiac University, Meline majored in broadcast journalism with a minor in sports studies. During her time at Quinnipiac, she gained valuable communications experience through internships with Hockey East, New England Cable News (NECN), Interactive Sports Network and WQAQ 98.1, Quinnipiac's student radio station.
