PDF: Liberty League 2021-22 COVID-19 Polices & Guidelines (updated March 1, 2022)
Spectators: State and local guidelines, including institutional visitor policies, will guide decisions on spectators at Liberty League contests. Institutions may impose restrictions on spectators including, but not limited to reduced/limited capacity and requiring proof of vaccination and face coverings, consistent with institutional policies. These policies will be shared with visiting teams prior to their arrival on campus. Spectators are urged to review COVID-19 policies on Liberty League member websites prior to attending a contest.

- Bard College: OUTDOOR EVENTS: Spectators and visitors to campus are welcome to attend all outdoor athletic competitions on Bard's campus. Vaccination, masks, and social distancing are all encouraged but not required. Building access is available for visitors who can provide proof of vaccination
- Clarkson University: Spectators for indoor sports must wear face coverings (mask must be covering nose and mouth) at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Unvaccinated spectators must be masked at all times, including at outdoor athletic facilities.
- Hobart and William Smith Colleges: Spectators are permitted. All spectators, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear masks covering the nose and mouth in indoor public spaces at HWS. HWS Athletics encourages all spectators to wear masks covering the nose and mouth in outdoor crowded spaces.
- Ithaca College: Beginning Friday, March 4, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, will not be required to wear face coverings in indoor locations unless clearly marked and communicated otherwise. This new policy is applicable to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. Ithaca College will require participating teams to wear face coverings in common areas and in the locker room along with the AT Clinic.
- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute: Effective March 1, 2022 - Vaccinated family members of our student-athletes and visiting student-athletes, as well as other vaccinated guests, will be permitted to attend Rensselaer athletics events in person on campus. In order to continue to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to the Rensselaer community, all guests must comply with the Institute’s COVID-19 protocols, practice social distancing, and wear face masks at all times. Guests will be limited to four (4) individuals per student-athlete. All spectators will be required to:
- Pre-register through an online registration portal in the Athletics Department and sign a liability waiver as part of their pre-registration process.
- Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Provide proof of a negative test in the 24-48 hours prior to game time.
- Rochester Institute of Technology: All spectators are required to adhere to the RIT Safety Plan, as well as, comply with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
All attendees 5 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER (including RIT faculty, staff, students, their families and campus visitors) are required to provide proof of vaccination, as outlined below, to gain entrance to any indoor RIT Athletic competition. To verify COVID-19 vaccination, ALL GUESTS 5 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER will be required to display one of the following items upon entry:
- Vaccination Record Card (e.g., original hard copy, photocopy, digital copy, including scanned image, PDF, or digital photograph.
- NYS Excelsior Pass
- Government digital vaccine proof from outside New York State
- RIT COVID Clearance Pass (Students/Faculty and Staff Only
Additionally,
ALL GUESTS 12 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER MUST ALSO:
- Present a valid photo ID matching your proof of vaccination or RIT COVID Clearance Pass (Students/Faculty and Staff Only)
- NOTE: COVID-19 negative test results will not be accepted for entry.
- Spectators are not be permitted onto the field, court or playing surface at any time before, during or after contests.
FACE COVERINGS
All competitions taking place indoors will require all spectators (ages 3 and older) to wear a face covering at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings are required outdoors for unvaccinated persons when physical distancing cannot be maintained and are recommended for vaccinated persons in crowded settings.
- Skidmore College: Skidmore College has announced that home athletic events will be open to fully vaccinated/boosted spectators. Masks are optional. No inside eating or drinking allowed at this time.
- St. Lawrence University: Effective March 2, 2022 - St. Lawrence University has now lifted the masking mandate for all vaccinated individuals at athletic events. Masking is now optional for fully vaccinated and will still be required for unvaccinated individuals when inside athletic facilities. This extends to all home Saints athletic events.
- Union College: Effective January 19, 2022 - All indoor facilities will continue to maintain a 75 percent capacity restriction and proof of vaccination (at least two doses of Moderna or Pfizer or the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine) will be required for all spectators ages 12 and up.
- Upon arrival at the facility, all spectators must present photo identification and documentation of vaccination. Accepted forms of proof include: the New York State Excelsior Pass, a CDC vaccination card (either the physical card of a legible photo), or COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination QR code (Canada only). Union College students and employees can show their Union ID card.
- Children ages 5-11 must show proof of having had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination in order to gain entry into an indoor facility. Children ages 2-5 who remain ineligible for vaccination will be allowed entry.
- For the safety of our student-athletes, staff and fans, all game personnel and spectators must continue to wear masks at all times while inside campus facilities, including Messa Rink, Viniar Athletic Center and Alumni Gym Pool. Consistent with campus policy, cloth masks are not permitted unless you also are wearing a surgical-style mask underneath it. Surgical or medical masks such as N95, KN95 or KF94s may be worn alone.
- University of Rochester: Effective March 4, 2022, the University of Rochester strongly encourages—but no longer requires—wearing face masks on most of the University of Rochester campus. Spectators are allowed to attend University athletic events and other non-athletic performances.
- Vassar College: Spectators are allowed at all Brewers home contests, but please note that these policies are subject to change. Masking is not required, but anyone who chooses should feel free to continue wearing a mask in any space on campus. Outdoor Venues (Prentiss, Vassar Farm Field, Rowing Complex, and Josselyn Courts): External spectators should be prepared to provide proof of vaccination or a copy of a negative test if requested by event personnel.
