The Liberty League announced that 32 student-athletes in 12 different sports have been recognized for their outstanding performances during the week of April 6-12. William Smith junior defender Janey Sypek, the Defensive Performer of the Week in women's lacrosse, had eight caused turnovers and nine ground balls in two games. On Wednesday, she had four caused turnovers and a season-high five ground balls in an 18-5 victory over Ithaca. The Heron defense limited the Bombers to a season-low five goals and 13 shots in the victory. Sypeck followed that up with a four caused turnover and four ground ball performance in a 10-6 loss to No. 2 Wesleyan.
