The Liberty League announced that 34 student-athletes in 14 different sports were recognized for outstanding play during the week of Oct. 5-11. Hobart College sophomore midfielder Gabe Smith, the Offensive Performer of the Week in men's soccer, led the Statesmen with two goals in a 1-0-1 week in Liberty League play. On Wednesday against the Bombers, Smith scored the equalizer with just over eight minutes remaining in regulation as Hobart and Ithaca battled to a 1-1 tie. On Saturday at Skidmore, he was credited with the game-winning goal, scoring in the 57th minute of Hobart's 2-0 victory.
