DAY 3 RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Liberty League Swimming and Diving Championships continued Friday at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium on the campus of Ithaca College with six men's events and five women's events.
The RIT men and Ithaca women continue to lead through the third day of competition. The Tigers (1,313) are ahead of runner-up Ithaca by 176 points and on the women's side, the Bombers (1018.5) hold a 141-point lead over current runner-up RPI.

Highlights from Friday's championship action:
MEN
- The RIT 200-yard medley relay squad consisting of Drew Scheib, Ben Sippel, Mike Atanasoff and Ryan Clancy set pool, meet and association records with an NCAA B-cut time of 1:28.13. The championship record was more than a second faster than the mark of 1:29.17 set last year by Ithaca.
- RIT senior Drew Scheib won the 200-yard butterfly for the third straight year, recording a meet record and NCAA B-cut time of 1:47.55. He improved upon his record of 1:47.82 set at last year's championship.
- RPI sophomore Jason Weller was a first-time champion in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 49.74. Weller edged Vassar sophomore Lucas Jauregui by a half second (50.24).
- RPI graduate Nicholas Stefanidis swam to victory in the 100-yard breaststroke for the third straight year, winning with an NCAA B-cut time of 54.69. He edged RIT senior Ben Sippel by less than a second (55.38).
- RIT senior Gellert Kish completed the sweep of the diving events, winning the 1-meter board with a finals score of 544.85. Kish, the leader after the prelims, Kish edged Hobart junior Daniel Barrientos (538.90) by just 5.95 points.
- RIT cruised to victory by more than six seconds in the 800-yard freestyle relay. The team of Eric Noga, Miles Lim, Stephen Graver and Josh Berty posted a time of 6:46.16, finishing comfortably ahead of runner-up Skidmore (6:52.29).
WOMEN
- The RIT 200-yard medley relay team consisting of Rose LaDue, Anna Peshenko, Annika Rieger and Anna Beahan set a meet and association record with an NCAA B-cut time of 1:43.93. The association mark, which was set in 2014 by the University of Rochester (1:44.19) was the longest standing women's relay record.
- RPI sophomore Hannah Goddard was a repeat champion in the 200-yard butterfly, winning the event in 2:06.09. She won by more than two seconds over runner-up Kathleen Papiernik of Ithaca, who finished in 2:08.67.
- RIT sophomore Rose LaDue was also a repeat champion, winning the 100-yard backstroke in an NCAA B-cut time of 56.41. LaDue touched the wall nearly two seconds ahead of runner-up Samatha Bender of Ithaca (58.25).
- In the closest race of the evening, RPI senior Colleen Whittaker won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.53, finishing just three hundreths of a second ahead of runner-up Anna Peshenko of RIT (1:05.56).
- The Ithaca 800-yard freestyle relay squad of Naomi Fry, Kathleen Papiernik, Ava Palfreyman and Samantha Bender cruised to victory in 7:40.65, winning by more than four seconds over runner-up Vassar (7:45.30).
