FROM HEAD COACH CURT SPEERSCHNEIDER:
"This tournament is more about experience than anything else, especially for Ginevra and Amelie, who were two of only a few freshmen at this event. Ginevra had some ups and downs in singles, but I think is starting to understand her game and how it matches up with the top players in the college game. She's learning to trust her distinct game and not feel like she has to match these player's games. These matches were great experience for her to put under her belt as she faces more top competition this spring. Ginevra and Amelie grew a ton this weekend in doubles. All three of their matches were tough and they got stronger in each match. Winning the last match vs. Whitman was well deserved and it was great to see them win those tie-breakers after losing a few in prior matches. They had fun and it showed."
