LIBERTY LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Julia Keogh, Senior, Forward, William Smith College
William Smith College senior Julia Keogh was recognized as the Liberty League Player of the Year. Keogh made all 18 starts for the Herons through the regular season and conference tournament, where William Smith was 16-1-1. She led the team and league with 19 goals and 44 points, averaging 1.05 goals per game and 2.44 points per game. Nationally, she is ranked 13th in points per game and 14th in goals per game. Keogh, a three-time Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week selection had five multi-goal games this season and has recorded at least two points in each of the last seven games. In the 2021 Liberty League Women's Soccer Championship, she recorded three goals in two games en route to the Herons capturing their 14th consecutive league title.
LIBERTY LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Julia Berg, Senior, Midfielder, William Smith College
William Smith College senior Julia Berg earned Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year honors. A starter of all 18 games for William Smith, Berg plays a key role for the Herons defense that tops the Liberty League and is ranked 29th nationally in goals against average (.489) and is ninth in shutout percentage (.722) with 13 shutouts on the season, including seven during conference play. The defense has held opponents to 6.0 shots per game and allowed only nine goals (0.50 per game). Berg has also contributed to the offense with seven points on three goals and an assist.
LIBERTY LEAGUE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Ireland Krawczyk, First Year, Defense, William Smith College
William Smith College first-year Ireland Krawczyk was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Year. In her first season with the Herons, she has made 13 starts and appeared in 16 games. She was part of the defensive line that led the league in goals against average (.489) and shutout percentage (.722). William Smith has allowed only nine goals against and limited opponents to 6.0 shots per game.
LIBERTY LEAGUE COACHING STAFF OF THE YEAR: William Smith College – Aliceann Wilber, Head Coach; Assistant Coaches Chas Allen, Al Loucks & Wilson Medeiros; Volunteer Assistant Chip Carver
William Smith head coach Aliceann Wilber along with her assistant coaches were selected as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year. Wilber and her staff guided the Herons to a 16-1-1 overall record and an undefeated mark of 9-0-0 against conference opponents. As a team, the Herons pace the league in scoring with 3.7 goals per game and boast a league-low goals against average of 0.50. In the league tournament, the Herons posted a shutout in the semifinals before coming out victorious in a 3-2 double overtime thriller in the championship game where the team captured its 14th consecutive league title. William Smith has won 14 straight games heading into the NCAA tournament, where the Herons will be making their 31st overall appearance.
