GRAND LAKE, Col. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its Regional and National coaching honors on Thursday afternoon with Ithaca's third-year head coach Karrie Moore taking home her first career regional honor. Moore was tabbed IWLCA Empire Region Coach of the Year, one of eight coaches from around the country to earn the honor in NCAA Division III.

Moore guided the Bombers to another strong season in 2018, which was the program's first year in the competitive Liberty League. Ithaca finished the season with a 14-5 record, the third straight season that Moore has hit the 14-win mark since assuming the head coaching position prior to the 2016 season.

Ithaca finished the regular season as co-champions with William Smith, posting a 9-1 record in Liberty League contests. The Bombers earned the second-seed for the Liberty League postseason, advancing to the Liberty League Championship Game with an 18-5 victory over RIT in the Semifinal Round matchup. Unfortunately, the Bombers fell just shy of their third consecutive NCAA Tournament bid when it fell to nationally-ranked William Smith in the Championship Game, played in Geneva, N.Y., the following afternoon.

Under Moore's tutelage, Ithaca led the Liberty League in several major statistical categories. The Bombers paced the league in goals per game (14.68), points per game (21.37), ground balls per game (22.26), caused turnovers per game (12.26), and draw controls per game (13.79). Eight players went on to earn All-Liberty League praise with five earning First Team selection, one earning Second Team selection, and two taking home Honorable Mention. Highlighting IC's honorees were major award winners all three categories, as junior attacker Allie Panara earned Liberty League Co-Player of the Year, senior defender Molly Long was tabbed Liberty League Defensive Player, and freshman midfielder Jacqui Hallack was tabbed Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Year. Moore, along with assistant coach Erin Growney, were tabbed the Liberty League's Coaching Staff of the Year.

Moore's guidance saw five players go on to earn IWLCA All-Region honors. Panara, Long and junior attacker Elizabeth Rice were each tabbed IWLCA All-Empire Region First Teamers, while senior defensive Elizabeth Rice and senior goalie Kimberly Presuto were named Second Team honorees. With this season's group of five, Moore has now coached 14 players to All-Region accolades in her first three seasons.

Joining Moore as IWLCA Regional Coaches of the Year were: Chris Paradis (Amherst; Berkshire Region), Sharon Pfluger (TCNJ; Boardwalk Region), Jim Nestor (Salisbury; Chesapeake Region), Lindsey Kellar (Illinois Wesleyan; Great Lakes Region), Carol Cantele (Gettysburg; Metro Region), Kate Livesay (Middlebury; Pilgrim Region), and Lauren Uhr (Claremont-Mudd-Scripps; West Region). Gettysburg's Cantele was tabbed the NCAA Division III Coach of the Year by the IWLCA, as she led the Bullets to their second consecutive National Championship this past May.
