Liberty League Women's Cross Country Awards

RUNNER OF THE YEAR: Grace Tilton, RPI, Sr., Concord, N.H.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute senior Grace Tilton was selected as the Liberty League Runner of the Year. Named the Atlantic Region Runner of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, Tilton won four of the eight races in which she competed, including victories at the Liberty League Championship and NCAA Atlantic Regional. At the NCAA regional meet, she set a course record at the HIghbanks Recreational Area of Letchworth State Park, running the 6K event in 21:07.0. Tilton's time of 21:23 at the Liberty League Championship was a meet record for the event.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Lisa Grohn, St. Lawrence, Fr., Branchburg, N.J.

St. Lawrence University freshman Lisa Grohn was selected as the Liberty League Rookie of the Year. The top freshman finisher at the NYSCTC Championship (7th), the Liberty League Championship (5th) and the NCAA Atlantic Regional (20th), Grohn was selected Liberty League Rookie of the Week five times this past season. She was also among the top seven freshman finishers at the NCAA Championship, helping St. Lawrence to a 10th-place team finish.

COACHING STAFF OF THE YEAR: St. Lawrence University - Mike Howard, head coach; Kate Curran, assistant coach

St. Lawrence University head coach Mike Howard led his team to a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championship. The Saints earned an automatic bid to the national meet by placing second as a team at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship. St. Lawrence cruised to a 12th straight Liberty League title by placing five runners in the top 10. The Saints also captured a sixth straight New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) championship. Howard is assisted by Kate Curran.
