2010 Football Awards
The 2010 Liberty League End-of-Season Awards, announced November 16.

2010 Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year
Chris Coney   Union
Senior  Running Back  (Lauderdale, Florida)
The leading rusher in the Liberty League and ranked #7 in NCAA Div. III, Coney finished his career with 4,091 yards, becoming only the second Dutchman ever to record 4,000 career yards. He had 19 career 100 yard rushing games, including six this season. Coney had 232 yards vs. Merchant Marine, 197 against Rochester and 192 in his final game at Springfield.

2010 Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year
Brendan Pidgeon   Rochester
Sophomore  Linebacker  (Oneonta, New York)
Rochester's leading tackler for the second straight season, Pidgeon totaled 81 stops in 2010, including 48 solo. He also recorded 5.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions on the year. He helped Rochester to the second-ranked defense in league play, trailing only league champion St. Lawrence.

2010 Liberty League Special Teams Player of the Year
Peter Nilson   Rensselaer
Senior  Kicker  (Appleton, Wisconsin)
Nilson finished first in Liberty League in scoring among kickers and field goals per game, and fourth in overall scoring. He had at least one field goal in seven games. Three of his field goals were game-winners with 10 seconds or less remaining in regulation, including the final two games of the season as time expired.

2010 Liberty League Rookie of the Year
Devin Worthington   Hobart
Strong Safety  (Rochester, New York)
Worthington led the Liberty Legaue in tackles for loss and sacks, and through Nov. 6 ranked 5th in nation in tackles for loss and 7th in sacks. He was a three-time Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week and a four-time Rookie of the Week. His 19.0 tackles for loss ranks second all-time on the Hobart single-season list.

2010 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year
Mark Raymond   St. Lawrence
In his first year at the helm, Raymond guided St. Lawrence to the school's first Liberty League championship with a 5-1 conference record. The Saints led all teams in scoring defense, turnover margin, total defense, sacks for, and sacks against in Liberty League play. Raymond is assisted by Kevin Farr, Scott Brisson, Aland Joseph, Jeff Dittman, Dan Puckhaber, Tom Blumenauer and Dave Celeste.
