University of Rochester senior outfielder/pitcher Josh Leadem was the Yellowjackets' most productive hitter over a 2-2 week on the diamond while also providing some key plays on the mound as well as defensively for the team. He hit .333 (4-for-12) with three runs, three home runs and a team-best five RBI for the week. All three of Leadem’s home runs came in Rochester winning efforts in the Liberty League Crossover Series against Skidmore. He hit a pair of long balls in the series finale on Sunday, one of which came as an inside-the-park homer in Rochester’s 9th inning rally to beat the Thoroughbreds. Leadem also made two appearances on the mound and picked up a save while not allowing a hit in two innings of work. The outfielder also tossed out a pair of runners at home plate over the weekend in the crossover series.
