University of Rochester senior Madeline O’Connell had a pair of top-two results at the UR Spring Twilight on Friday afternoon, winning the pole vault and capturing second in the 200-meter dash. O’Connell’s pole vault height of 4.07 meters is a school record, Fauver Stadium record and the current top mark in Division III this season. She won the event by over half a meter, with the second-place finisher clearing 3.52 meters. Also during the meet, O’Connell ran a time of 25.14 seconds in the 200 meters, finishing second of 21 runners, qualifying for the AARTFC meet in the process.
