University of Rochester sophomore pitcher Molly Broccolo was sensational in two wins in the circle for the Yellowjackets, allowing just six total hits over 13.0 innings pitched against St. John Fisher and SUNY Brockport. For the week, Broccolo went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA, allowing just six hits, walking three and striking out seven over two complete-game shutouts. The sophomore held opponents to a .136 batting average and needed just 144 pitches to work 13 scoreless frames. Broccolo’s best outing came against Brockport on Saturday, allowing just three Golden Eagles to reach base while striking out four over a complete-game shutout at Southside Field.
