William Smith College junior goalie Maura Smeader was 3-0 in goal for the Herons this week, posing a 7.33 GAA and a .551 save percentage. She added nine ground balls and a caused turnover. Last Monday against No. 4 Salisbury, Smeader made a season-high 12 saves, including seven in the first half. She had a ground ball and a caused turnover against the Sea Gulls. In the Liberty League opener against Union, Smeader made seven saves in a 12-6 victory. She had two ground balls. On Saturday versus RPI, Smeader made eight saves in the 15-9 win. She also picked up a season-high six ground balls. Smeader is 7-0 on the year with a 6.82 GAA and a .538 save percentage.
