First year utility player Riley Laygo was Rochester’s top hitter during a 4-2 week in Florida at The Spring Games. Laygo hit .364 (8-for-22) with one triple, two home runs, six runs scored and a team-best eight runs batted in. She slugged .727 on the week and added a pair of stolen bases on two attempts. Laygo was also a perfect 6-for-6 in defensive chances and pitched in one game for the ‘Jackets, tossing 3 innings of hitless relief, striking out one with one walk, earning the save against Wisconsin-Platteville. Her best hitting game was a 3-for-3 performance with two home runs and six runs batted in against Hamline on March 11.
