University of Rochester first-year Shibo Wang was the Yellowjackets' top finisher at the Tiger Invite at Forest Creek, hosted by Hampden-Sydney College this weekend. The rookie ended tied for 16th in a field of 90 golfers after shooting rounds of 75 and 73 over the two days. His 148 score helped the Yellowjackets ranked fifth in a field of 18 teams at the event, 14 of which were ranked or receiving votes in the latest poll. His efforts on day two featured an eagle and two birdies on his card. Overall, Rochester shot rounds of of 310 and 288 (field best) to finish at 598 for the event, beating eight higher ranked teams according to the latest Division III coaches poll.
