University of Rochester first-year athlete Nora Chen competed in a pair of events at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, earning a pair of results that landed on the NCAA Division III Indoor Qualifying List. Chen started the day with the 400 meters, clocking in at 57.61, good for 66th overall, an AARTFC qualifier and currently the 29th-fastest 400m time in DIII. She then ran the third leg of Rochester’s 4x400-meter relay, helping the ‘Jackets set the top time in Division III this season and the sixth-fastest indoor time in DIII history. UR’s 4x400 relay won their heat, beating out three Division I competitors with a 3:45.78 time, and ranked fourth overall in the event.
