University of Rochester senior Ashley Heffernan competed at the Brockport Multi & Invitational and posted two Division III top-10 marks en route to winning the pentathlon. The senior posted a multi-event score of 3,415 points, which is currently fourth in Division III. Within the competition, Heffernan set overall personal records or indoor personal records in four of the five events. Her top result was a 5.64 meter leap in the long jump, setting a new Rochester school record in the process while also ranking seventh in Division III. Additionally, Heffernan posted a 9.12 second time in the 60 meter hurdles, 1.46 meter height in the high jump, 8.91 meter mark in the shot put and 2:25.25 time in the 800 meters. UR’s team score ended with 85 points, second in the 14-team field for the meet.
