Union College first-year guard Tanner Tedesco was named MVP of the Sig Makofski Invitational over the weekend, averaging 18.5 points, 6.5 boards and 5.0 assists in two victories as Union won its home tournament for the first time since 2018 and improved to 5-0 for the first time since 1999. In Friday's 92-81 win over Elms, Tedesco went for a team-high 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting and also grabbed six rebounds with five assists, and then came back with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting, seven caroms and five assists in a 76-69 victory.
