Hobart College junior guard Pat Healy led the Statesmen to a pair of victories to start the season, knocking off 2023 NCAA tournament participant St. John Fisher on the road and Morrisville State three days later at home. To start the season, he logged a game-high 28 points that included an 8-for-13 shooting night with a career-high matching five 3-pointers and a 7-of-8 effort at the line. Healy also contributed three rebounds and an assist with only one turnover in the 85-81 win over the Cardinals. Against the Mustangs, he scored 10 points, shared game-high honors with five boards, and chipped in two assists, two blocked and a steal. Healy netted half of his 10 points during Hobart's 10-2 run to end the game, lifting the Statesmen to a 66-63 victory. For the week, he shot 52.2% from the floor with seven 3-pointers, and 87.5% at the line.
