Hobart College junior forward Frederick Madsen was named the Liberty League Tournament's Most Outstanding Player after helping the Statesmen capture their fourth Liberty League title. He led the Statesmen in scoring, finishing the tournament with five points on two goals and an assist. On Friday he scored the game-winning goal in overtime as Hobart defeated RPI 4-2. In Sunday's championship game, Madsen had a goal and an assist. He set up the Statesmen's first goal against the Bombers and then scored the game's third goal. Madsen leads the Statesmen with nine goals this season. He has scored in seven straight games.
