Hobart College sophomore Daniel Barrientos continued to shine for the Statesmen as the team went 1-1 in its home opener. Hobart defeated Wells 119-25 and fell to Roberts Wesleyan 204-58. Barrientos dominated from the diving boards, finishing first from both the 3-meter and 1-meter boards to grab crucial points for the Statesmen. In the 1-meter diving event, Barrientos scored a 279.25, winning by more than 30 points over the second-place finisher. He scored a 267.50 from the 3-meter diving board to grab his second win of the day, defeating the runner-up by more than 40 points.
