William Smith College sophomore outside hitter Malya Sayre led the Herons to a 2-1 week, clinching a playoff spot for the second straight year. In three matches, Sayre recorded 45 kills, 35 digs, seven blocks, three service aces and two assists. She averaged 4.09 kills per set, 3.18 digs per set and 4.68 points per set. In a come-from-behind five-set win over Union on Friday, Sayre recorded season-highs with 23 kills (.246) and 20 digs. She recorded two double-doubles this weekend, pushing her season total to five. Sayre leads the league in kills per set (4.03), and points per set (4.78), and is third in the conference in aces per set (0.59). She is 21st in the nation in points per set and 27th in the nation in kills per set.
