Senior fullback Joel Altavesta led Springfield College to a 44-14 win over Rochester in its Liberty League debut. Altavesta ran for 214 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries for a 12.6 yards per carry average. He had 167 yards and one on eight carries for a 20.9 ypc average by halftime. His touchdown runs were of 68, 2, and 24 yards.
