Vassar College first-year outside hitter Maura McAusland put together a strong weekend as Vassar defeated William Smith in four sets before completing a five-set comeback victory against the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday. McAusland recorded  25 kills, 14 aces, 20 digs, three assists and a block in the two matches. In the win over the Herons, she recorded five kills and six aces while finishing with 20 kills, eight aces and 18 digs in the five-set win over the Mariners. McAusland ranks second on the team in kills (148), leads the team in aces with 24 and is fourth in digs with 78.
