University of Rochester graduate student Frain was the tournament medalist for Rochester at the St. John Fisher Invitational. He finished as the lone player under par in the 39-golfer field, shooting rounds of 69, 70 and 71 to end at three-under (210) for the 54-hole tournament. Frain’s win was the second of his career and his three par-or-better rounds were more than his past two seasons combined. He recorded two eagles, two birdies, 30 pars and just two holes at over-par. Rochester’s ‘A’ team, of which Frain was a part of, finished the event in first place with a team score of 873, shooting 291 (7-over) in each of the three rounds. The Yellowjackets won the team title by 17 strokes over Rochester’s ‘B’ squad, with eight total teams making up the field.
