Ithaca College senior Meghan Matheny was crowned national champion in pole vault for the third time in her career at the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship held at St. John Fisher University. This year, she won the outdoor event with a leap of 4.10 meters. This was her sixth all-time All-America accolade. Matheny was the runner-up at the 2022-23 indoor championship but was the national champion in the event at the 2021-22 outdoor championship and the 2020-21 indoor championship.
