University of Rochester first-year Broccolo appeared in three out of the Yellowjackets' four regional games last week, making three appearances and two starts, going 1-1 with a 2.19 ERA. In over 16.0 innings pitched, she allowed just five runs on 14 hits while striking out eight en route to All-Regional Team accolades. Broccolo picked up the win in Rochester’s victory over #24 Eastern Connecticut State, 5-3 on Friday, pitching a complete game and allowing just three runs, helping the Yellowjackets advance to Saturday’s finale. In game one of the regional final, Broccolo held the Flying Dutchmen to just two runs on five hits, allowing just two hits after the first inning.
