At the Utica CNY Fast Chance Meet, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute first-year athlete Yathin Vemula won the 10-competitor high jump with a maximum effort of 1.96 meters. Vemula cleared his maximum height on his second attempt. The runner-up went for 1.91. It was his only event of the meet, which included unattached participants and was non team scoring.
