RIT graduate student Matthew Funicelli swept the hammer and the discus events at Saturday’s U of R Invitational. He broke a 12-year-old program hammer record (57.97m/190’ 2”) with the nation’s 10th-best mark this spring while winning the discus with a 47.31m/155’ 2” performance. Funicelli currently leads the Liberty League and ranks in the top-25 nationally in the shot put, discus and hammer.
