University of Rochester senior Madeline O’Connell was a triple-winner as the Yellowjackets finished runner-up to 10th-ranked SUNY Geneseo at the UR Alumni Invitational on Saturday. O'Connell tied or set two new Fauver Stadium records during the day, capturing wins in the pole vault, 4x100 meter relay and 200 meters, hitting the AARTFC regional standard three times in the process. Her day started as Rochester won the 4x100 meter relay in a facility record 47.53 seconds, with O’Connell running the anchor leg on the relay which currently has the 16th-best time in Division III. She then won the pole vault with a Fauver record-tying height of 3.76 meters, earning the event win by over .30 meters. The seniors day wrapped up with a first place finish in the 200 meters, running 25.03 seconds, the No. 27 time in Division III this season.
