In three events in a tri-meet with Bates and Tufts, RPI first-year athlete Donovan Myrick had a win and two runner-up finishes as the Engineers (69 points) finished second to the Jumbos (74) with Bates registering 49 points. Myrick ran the lead leg on the victorious 4x400 relay team that recorded a time of 3:24.74. They won the four-squad event by four seconds (3:28.90). He also ran on the second place 4x100 relay team, taking the anchor leg for the unit which crossed in 42.77 - just .26 behind the victor. There were three teams in the event. Individually, Donovan was second in the 200 with a time of 22.09. The winner, who defeated 23 others, had a time of 21.28.
