Hobart College first-year player Nick Fischer helped the Statesmen to a 2-1 record on the weekend by going 2-0 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play. In singles action, Fischer defeated Skidmore's Jude Ogilvie, 6-2, 6-2, in the No. 5 spot. The following day, Fischer defeated Union's Ian Schunk, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 5 spot. He then teamed up with partner Aidan Staunton to go 2-1 on the weekend in doubles play. In Friday night's 9-0 victory over Bard, Fischer and Staunton defeated Drew Soleiman and Kai O'Donnell 8-2 at the No. 2 spot. In Saturday's loss at No. 29 Skidmore, the duo fell to Kyle Lundberg and Joseph Wilkanowski, 8-7 (8-6) in the No. 3 spot. Fischer and Staunton bounced back on Sunday, defeating Union's Austin Gregory and Ben Jacobs, 8-4, at the No. 3 spot. Fischer and Staunton improved to 8-3 in doubles action the season. In singles action, Fischer is now 8-2 and is riding an eight-match win streak.
