Hobart College first-years Nick Fischer and Aidan Staunton went 6-0 this week in Orlando, Fla. as the duo helped the Statesmen to a 6-0 week at the UTSA National Campus. The pair won five doubles matches in the No. 3 spot and one match in the No. 2 spot. Fischer and Staunton defeated Navarrete and Young from Luther, 8-5, Kataria and Vipparla from Carleton, 8-6, Molinet and Burkes from Oglethorpe, 8-2, Stein and Gritz from Hamilton, 8-4, and Buoro and Felcher from Trinity, 8-6, in the No. 3 spot. In the No. 2 spot, the duo defeated Pappas and Willenborg from Salisbury, 8-7 (7-4). Fischer and Staunton now sit at 6-2 on the season.
