University of Rochester sophomore Cole Goodman finished as runner-up at the NCAA Division III Championships in the triple jump, breaking the school record twice in his six attempts at the meet. Goodman finished with a 15.39 meter jump on his last attempt, taking the event lead just prior to the prior leader regaining the lead back on his final jump. On his opening jump, Goodman posted a school record mark of 15.04 meters. The second-place result earned Goodman his first career All-America award. He added a 17th-place finish in the long jump, posting a mark of 6.80 meters.
